As a Realtor, I utilize my intrinsic insight to buying and selling real estate, communicative talents and negotiating skills to match clients with their real estate needs, individualistically, while making a worldly impact. Real Estate means different things to each of us and is dependent upon where we are in our lives at a particular time. Lifestyle, family needs, educational needs, business needs, budget, ROI, short term needs and long term goals are all factors that come into the equation.

I am and always will be a mother, wife, daughter, sister, cousin, friend, sailor and entrepreneur. I hope to add grandmother to my identity one day. These days, I enjoy people, good food, Pilates, sailing, cycling, sewing, dogs and music. I am especially passionate about millennials (I gave birth to 3 of them), independent businesses and making a positive impact in the world.

I have lived many different lifestyles in many types of homes. I have been an employee and an employer as an entrepreneur. As a child, I lived in a mobile home in Sackets Harbor New York and then on a rural farm in Upstate New York. At the age of 14 my first job was milking cows. As a young adult, I called a high rise apartment named London Terrace home. It was located in New York City. I worked at an architectural firm called Hambrecht, Terrell International designing upscale department stores all around the country Bloomingdales, Macy’s, Saks. I resided in Brooklyn, in walk-ups and then in a family duplex in Paterson, New Jersey. Business from the 80’s to 2010 consisted of Architecture & Interior Design, Kitchen & Bath Showroom, General Contracting, Drapery Retail Showroom, Drapery Manufacturing, and an upscale restaurant/bar for bikers. Home from the 80’s through the 90’s was in several Northeastern areas while raising my eldest daughter, Jessica Schneider who became a PHD at Cornell. In 2000 we relocated to Austin Texas. I have owned several businesses (Kitchen and Bath showroom, Architectural Interior Design Firm, Drapery Manufacturing, Drapery Retail, Restaurant/Bar) and lived in single family houses while raising my 2 youngest daughters Anastasia and Natasha Krisan. Like their older sister, they too became scientists.

Two months after my youngest went off to college, my husband Eric and I put all of our real estate in Texas up for sale and purchased a 46’ sloop called Gumption. We spent 4 years living on Gumption while sailing the Caribbean. In 2015, subsequent to much research, we purchased real estate in Southwest Florida. Currently, we are investors and we live in a single family home that has a deep water dock for Gumption with easy access to the gulf.

For personal, business and investment purposes, I have rented, leased, purchased, owned, sold...repeat several times. Every real estate transaction in my life has been an important decision.

Having found myself at a new chapter in life, I decided to challenge myself with questions that would enable a clear objective. I was not interested in getting a job for the sake of having a job. I had to ask myself; How do I utilize my life’s experience? What are my intrinsic talents and skills? How can I match my experience, talents and skills with the world’s deepest needs that is perpetuated with purpose and making a difference? I have always been involved in various forms of charitable work and fund raising. Since it is physically impossible to be in more than one place at a time, how can I possibly be focused and fulfilled?

I realized the answer and it is my business model...Real Estate with a Purpose.

My commitment: upon every real estate transaction, I will donate 7% of my net commission to a charity or non-for-profit as designated by my client.
