Raleigh, and his family, vacationed on Sanibel island from 1977 until 2003. Then the "lure" of the sub-tropical climate and then lifestyle of Southwest Florida persuaded them to make it their year-round home.

Prior to a career in real estate, Raleigh served in the United States Air Force, represented Mortgage Guaranty Insurance Corporation and Ross Mortgage Corporation.
