Kara "KC" Cuscaden starting vacationing on the islands with her family pre-causeway, after her Grandparents retired to Sanibel, managing one of the few motels on the island at that time.  Years later, after many family vacations and reunions on Sanibel , she moved to the islands full-time and has resided here for over 15 years owning property and calling Sanibel her home.

An avid Sheller, which Sanibel is renowned for, she enjoys walking the beach, biking, our local "Recreational Center" , animals, and raising orchids.

Kara has been a licensed Realtor on the islands for ten years and previously was also a licensed Realtor in North Carolina, where she resided before moving to Sanibel.  She is a member of the National Association of Realtors and the Florida Association of Realtors, and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the local association.  She also holds the Sanibel & Captiva Island Specialists designation.  This designation enables her to "specialize" in Real Estate transactions on the Islands of Sanibel & Captiva.  Having this designation is the "hallmark of pride and excellence in selling and marketing Sanibel & Captiva Real Estate".
