John Bates is an outstanding example of a real estate agent committed to the islands and to superior client satisfaction. An island resident since 1978, he dedicated 20 years to serving as the fulltime fire chief and currently remains active as a volunteer member. John is well-established in the Sanibel/Captiva market with over 26 years of helping clients successfully buy and sell properties. With his long and engaged history on Sanibel and Captiva, he has personally experienced changes on the islands and taken part in helping shape their future. For a number of years, John worked closely with Lee County on rezoning issues and has also helped direct land use designation to protect Sanibel and Captiva's natural beauty.
